That’s the honest first lesson about Wild.AI. It’s built around passive data, not diary-keeping. Pair it with a wearable from day one, or don’t bother.
What the Wild app actually is (and isn’t)
Wild.AI adjusts training and recovery recommendations to your menstrual cycle, perimenopause, or menopause phase. What the score doesn’t tell you: which input is driving it. Drop from 78% to 41% overnight? You can’t easily see whether it was resting heart rate, a bad sleep log, or yesterday’s long run. One counter-intuitive tip: Do the check-in before looking at your resting heart rate for the day. See the number first, and your “subjective” energy rating gets contaminated by it. The two-input system only works if both inputs are genuinely independent.
Where the Wild app breaks down
This is the part every tutorial skips.
Garmin sync is broken for some users – and has been for months. Multiple Google Play reviewers (as of late 2024) report data failing to sync, with support taking weeks to respond and often giving suggestions that don’t fix the problem. The app doesn’t warn you when it’s flying blind – the readiness score just quietly degrades without a wearable feed.
